Our Story...

.

Jam food shop was born in 2008 when Lee Kennedy rode her bike past the little shopping center on Caulkinstown road (since torn down for new Sharon Inn) and noticed a for-rent sign on the tiny space previously occupied by the Stove Doctor.

She had been feeding the community and private clients from the commercial kitchen she built in her garage – but wanted to make her food accessible to more people.

Lee collaborated with Alex Elliott, a chef from Berkshire County, to open the world's smallest food shop. The tiny spot gained immediate popularity for its homemade soups, sandwiches, and prepared foods.

Soon after, they received an invitation to the newly established Sharon Farm Market, which was set to open across the street. Since 2010, Jam has remained a staple in Sharon, CT happily serving the community.

Lee and Alex would like to thank their amazing staff headed up by Chef Brendan Martin and managers Colin Kennedy (Lee’s son) and Danielle Casey for continuing to offer great food and warm customer service.
